Sevendust, my 3rd FAVORITE band, on tour to support their 7th album Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow. Excellent openers Nonpoint and Soulidium really made a well-rounded and insanely frenetic show!! 2 of my top five bands at once – ya gotta love it!!
Another brutal all-day dirt-fest in the hot sun in Orlando! The bands taking the stages at Earthday Birthday this year were Mudvayne, Rob Zombie, Staind, Shinedown, Lacuna Coil, Nonpoint, Trapt, Hinder, Evans Blue, and Faktion. Always a hot mess at the all day festivals. Skipping the pics…can’t find any relevant to this concert.
The headline band was not my primary interest as we all know Crossfade has only one or two decent singles. I was there to see Nonpoint again as they were a growing favorite for me around this time. The other opener was some unheard and unmemorable band called Namedropper. Should be called labeldropper as in their label should drop them. Anyway, Nonpoint was kick ass and Crossfade didn’t suck so it was a good concert in all!
I went to see Papa Roach for the second time on the tour for Getting Away With Murder. This was also the 4th time seeing Nonpoint (on of my favorite now), who opened up along with Burn Season. Fellow attendees included Joe and Candice. Papa Roach is a fun band to see live, plenty of hits, albeit nothing with any real substance to it…but nonetheless fun. Nonpoint rules obviously and Burn Season was a new band I discovered and then started listening to as a result of this concert.
Nonpoint was touring for the Recoil album and they always put on a rockin show. There is no info on the interwebs about the opening act and I am drawing a blank but this was my third time seeing Nonpoint and I recall that Joe and Candice went with me, but I don’t have any other details. Should have started the blog sooner before my memory started to dissolve…
